Anganwadi Workers Thanked PTC News As They End The Hunger Strike Anganwadi workers and helpers sitting on hunger strike against the Punjab government on their demands have finally ended at 8 am on Tuesday. Notification for increasing wages of Anganwari Workers and Helpers has been issued by the Punjab Government. According to the information, the increased wages of Anganwari Workers will be applicable from April 2019. In addition, the wages of Anganwari workers, mini workers and helper has been increased by Rs 1,000 and Rs 500-500 respectively. Members of the All-Punjab Anganwadi Employees’ Union were on a hunger strike in support of their demands in front of the mini-secretariat complex. The strike was in continuation of the protest they have been observing for the past few weeks. -PTC NEWS
