In a move aimed at giving further fillip to the holistic development of Bathinda and Mansa districts of the state, the Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal today gave nod to initiate development projects of nearly Rs. 943 crore for these two districts. The Chief Minister, who held detailed deliberations with the MLAs of SAD-BJP alliance from these districts here at Punjab Bhawan this morning, underscored the need to provide ultra modern civic amenities to the populace residing in the villages and urban areas of these districts. He said that a major thrust would be given to the development of all these districts by ensuring the best civic amenities to the residents. Mr. Badal said that the focus would be to refurbish the cities and rural areas with the state-of-the art facilities so that the residents could be benefitted from it on one hand and giving impetus to the overall development of the state on the other.
