While coronavirus pandemic has forced people to stay at home, the health care workers and medical professionals across the globe have been true warriors in a fight against the contagion disease. Likewise, the doctors, nurses, or health staff, all the medical officials have won the hearts of millions.
Spain is one of the worst-hit countries in the time of crisis. In a move to extend support to the medical professional, ace shuttler Carolina Marin, also known as Golden Girl, was willing to give away her medals to them.
Carolina, who defeated India’s PV Sindhu to bag a women’s singles gold medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics, surprised frontline hospital professionals of Virgen del Mar hospital in Madrid, as she interacted with them via video call.
As per the report, Marin said that she has offered all her medals to them as they are the real heroes in Spain. “They deserve every applause and accolade,” she said.
