Blue Whale Challenge, another 14 year old boy falls victim. A 14-year-old Solapur boy, who left home, was rescued by Pune rural police in Bhigwan near Pune on Wednesday afternoon. After skipping school for five days and playing the Blue Whale suicide challenge, the boy left home.The parents of the boy approached the police after the teenagers left home on Tuesday evening, as per Bhigwan police. After the missing report was filed, the Solapur police sent details about the Class 9 student to the Pune Police. The Pune rural police, while patrolling the Pune-Solapur national highway, found the boy at the Bhigwan state transport bus stand.The boy was heading towards Pune in a state transport (ST) bus. The police found him at the ST stand in Bhigwan around 10:30 am and brought him to the police station. The father of the boy, Dinesh Bhosale, arrived at the police station and took him home, the police said.“After their son went missing, the parents enquired about him and his friends revealed that he was playing the Blue Whale suicide challenge. The parents, then, informed us about the same,” said Neelkanth Rathod, Bhigwan police station in-charge.According to Rathod, the boy was constantly using his mobile phone and was not attending school. The boy’s mobile phone tower location helped them trace him. “The parents said that he was completely engrossed in his mobile phone since the last few days,” said Rathod.“The boy looked really lost when he was found by the police; he was silent and did not interact with anyone. We tried to make him feel comfortable but could hardly get any information out of him,” Rathod said.The game was created by a Russian man named Philipp Budeikin, who was jailed in July for inciting a number of teenagers to commit suicide. The first teenage boy who was a victim of this absurdly disturbing game was 14 years old from Andheri Mumbai. The boy committed suicide on Aug 1. -PTC News
