Border Security Force seizes 3 kg Heroin in Ferozepur
Border Security Force (BSF) jawans on Monday seized six packets of heroin with an estimated market value of Rs 5 crore from the India-Pakistan border in the Ferozepur Mamdot sector.

BSF jawans who were on duty at Mamdot post in ferozepur sector found packets of heroin. According to a BSF official, a special search operation was launched by the BSF after some suspicious movements were seen near the border security fence on Monday morning .

Each packet weighs 500 gm and the total worth of the six packets is estimated to be Rs 5 crore in the international market, official said

Last year, the Border Security Force has seized nearly 230 kg of heroin along the Indo-Pakistan border. Due to which, the BSF has been directed to maintain extra vigil on the border to thwart the attempts of smugglers.
