CBSE to conduct pending Class 10, 12 board exams; dates announced

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is all set to conduct pending Class 10, 12 board exams from July 1 to 15, the Ministry of Human Resource and Development said. Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said "I hope the students have been preparing for the exams." Recently on Wednesday, the HRD Ministry stated that no examination to be held for class 10 students nationwide, except for the students from North-East Delhi. Meanwhile, it had also said that an adequate time of 10 days will be given to all the students for the preparation of exams. On April 1, the CBSE had announced that it will conduct the exams for 29 subjects out of the approximately 90 that were left due to the nationwide lockdown which was imposed to contain the spread of coronavirus. For Class 10, only exams for students of North East Delhi, who could not appear for the examination due to the riots, will be held. Watch it here: https://twitter.com/i/status/1258723184209100800 The HRD Ministry on Wednesday also announced that the grading of college students could be a composite of 50 percent marks on the basis of the pattern of internal evaluation adopted by the universities. Also Read | Coronavirus likely to peak in June-July: AIIMS Director Earlier in the week, the Union Minister of Human Resource Development Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank during a live interaction with the students announced the new dates for JEE (Main) 2020 and NEET 2020 exams. The Ministry also stated that the Academic Session 2020-21 for UG and PG may commence from August 1, 2020, for old students and from September 1, 2020, for new students. -PTC News
