Chandigarh Education Department promotes 86 teachers as lecturers
Chandigarh Education Department: Chandigarh Administration on Friday issued orders regarding the promotion of 86 teachers to the post of Lecturers (in 18 subjects).
The teachers in Chandigarh have been promoted with a pay scale of Rs 10300-34800 + 5400 Grade Pay.

These promoted Lecturers will be posted in different Governments. Sr. Secondary Schools of Chandigarh and after these promotions, all the posts of Lecturer Cadre under promotion quota will be filled up.
These promotion orders by Chandigarh Education Department were pending for a long time due to various issues such as seniority, subject combination, reservation and some legal issue also.

Earlier, the promotion orders for such a large number of Lecturers were issued in the year 2013. Now, with the filling up of the vacant post of Lecturers shortage of staff at Sr. Secondary level will be minimized.
The process to fill up the vacant posts of Lecturers under direct recruitment has already been started by the Chandigarh Administration.
