Chhota Rajan and 7 other get life imprisonment in J D Murder Case
MCOCA court in Mumbai sentences Gangster Chhota Rajan and 7 others to life imprisonment in journalist Jyotirmay Dey murder case on Wednesday evening. Today morning, nearly seven years after journalist Jyotirmoy Dey was gunned down in suburban Mumbai, a Special Court in Mumbai convicted Gangster Chhota Rajan in the murder case. Gangster Chhota Rajan convicted in journalist Jyotimay Dey murder case, while journalist Jigna Vora acquitted by MCOCA court in Mumbai. The final arguments in the Special Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA) Court had started in February and concluded early last month. Mr Dey, 56, was the Editor (Investigations) of Midday Eveninger, and was shot dead on June 11, 2011, near his Powai residence in central suburban Mumbai.
