Coronavirus cases in Punjab rise to 2106; death toll 40; recovered 19

The total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has increased to 2106 after 25 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the last 24 hours, as of Tuesday evening. The death toll in the state stands at 40. According to the media bulletin issued by the Punjab Health Department on Tuesday evening, Amritsar reported 2 new cases of coronavirus while Jalandhar reported 10 new cases. Likewise, one new case was reported each from Faridkot and SBS Nagar. 5 new cases were reported from Pathankot and 4 from Hoshiarpur while two cases were reported from Ludhiana. A total of 5 patients have been declared cured and discharged in the last 24 hours. Of 5 recovered cases, 3 are from Jalandhar, 1 each from Patiala and Faridkot. COVID-19 | RECOVERY RATE IMPROVES TO 41.57% Amritsar is on the top of the tally with 331 COVID-19 cases so far followed by Jalandhar at 230, Ludhiana at 175, and Tarn Taran at 154. Gurdaspur has 132 cases of coronavirus while Patiala has reported 108 cases. SBS Nagar tally has increased to 106 while Mohali's tally stands at 103. Hoshiarpur tally has also increased to 110. The number of coronavirus cases in Sangrur has increased to 89 while Muktsar stands at 66. Faridkot has reported 62 cases so far while a total of 59 cases have been reported from Moga, 60 from Ropar, 57 from Fatehgarh Sahib. Mansa has recorded 32 cases while the total number of coronavirus cases has increased to 44 in Pathankot. Kapurthala stands at 36 while 22 cases of coronavirus cases have been reported from Barnala so far. Meanwhile, 148 are active cases while 1918 people have been cured and discharged. -PTC News
