6-year-old boy among 10 test positive for coronavirus in Bapu Dham, Chandigarh count 135
Coronavirus cases continue to rise at a rapid pace in Bapu Dham Colony, Sector 26, which is the most affected pocket in Chandigarh. A 6-year-old boy was among the 10 new cases reported in the Bapu Dham colony. Two women aged 25 and a 27-year-old man from the same family tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
Another 36-year-old woman is from a neighboring house. Two other the family members 15 years male and 58 years female, both residents of Bapu Dham Colony, Sector-26 have been reported as positive for nCoV. Likewise, a 12-year-old girl tested positive for coronavirus in Sector 30. All the cases are from the containment area. Meanwhile, the total number of coronavirus cases in the Bapu Dham Colony has increased to 71, while the city count has gone up to 135.
The neighboring city Mohali has a total of 96 cases out of which only 46 are the active cases. Five patients, including four from Jawaharpur village in Derabassi and 1 from Mundi Kharar, recovered from COVID-19.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday hailed those who are leading the fight against coronavirus. He said that their selfless work for others during the pandemic is worthy of praise. He also said that India is standing firmly with those facing difficult times, both in the country and abroad.

While speaking at a virtual global Buddha Purnima event, PM Modi said that "India is standing strong and selflessly in these difficult times with those facing trouble in India or abroad. India's growth will always be aiding global growth."
