Amritsar reports 2 new fatalities and 16 new cases of COVID-19
The total number of coronavirus cases in Amritsar has increased to 1076 after 16 new cases of COVID-19 were reported from the district on Friday. Meanwhile, the total number of active cases has gone up to 150 while the death toll has increased to 52. A total of 874 cases have been declared cured and discharged so far.
According to the information, a 72-year-old man from Vijay Nagar in Amritsar has died due to coronavirus. It has been reported that he was suffering from diabetes and hypertension.
On the other hand, a 48-year-old man who was a resident of Lahorian Wali Gali succumbed to the pandemic. He was suffering from liver issues and hypertension.
Meanwhile, Ludhiana reported 43 new cases of coronavirus out of which 39 are from the Ludhiana city while 4 were from outside the city. Likewise, a new death was also reported from the city. The total number of coronavirus cases in Ludhiana has increased to 1271.

Likewise, a new death was reported from Mohali as well. Bathinda reported 15 new cases of coronavirus while 5 new cases were reported from Ferozepur.
