The coronavirus cases in the state have been increasing ever since the government has announced relaxations in the restrictions imposed during the lockdown. Meanwhile, the coronavirus cases have crossed 7000-mark while the active cases have crossed 2000-mark.
Likewise, Jalandhar reported 50 cases of coronavirus on Friday. Of the total cases in Jalandhar, a total of 688 COVID patients in the district have been declared cured and discharged.

Since coronavirus cases are rising day-by-day, people are calling for a lockdown in an order to contain the spread. However, the Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has been warning about the coronavirus peak but whenever it comes to lockdown, he says that the situation will decide.
