Coronavirus cases in Punjab rise to 4769; death toll 120; recovered 3192

The total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has increased to 4769 after 142 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the last 24 hours, as of Thursday evening. The death toll in the state has increased to 120 after 7 new deaths were reported from the state including 2 each from Sangrur and Amritsar and 1 each from Moga, Ludhiana and Tarn Taran. According to the media bulletin issued by the Punjab Health Department, Amritsar reported 31 new cases of coronavirus while 25 new cases were reported from Jalandhar. Ludhiana reported 19 new cases while Sangrur reported 21 new cases of coronavirus. Patiala reported 8 new cases, Muktsar reported 9 new cases, and 6 new cases were reported each from Moga and Kapurthala. Likewise, four new cases were reported from Ferozepur and Mohali, while two new cases were reported from Gurdaspur and Fazilka. One new case was reported from Tarn Taran, Hoshiarpur, Faridkot, Ropar and Mansa. Of 93, 24 were from Amritsar, 17 from Sangrur, 13 from Ludhiana, 10 from Pathankot, 8 from Hoshiarpur, 7 from Muktsar, 4 from Fazilka, 3 from Ferozepur, 2 from Gurdaspur and 1 each from SBS Nagar and Patiala. Patiala has reported 243 cases of coronavirus while Mohali has reported 228 cases of COVID-19. The coronavirus tally in SBS Nagar stands at 126, Muktsar at 125 while Fatehgarh Sahib and Faridkot has reported 101 cases each.
