Delhi government issues new SOPs for coronavirus testing and home quarantine
Delhi government has issued new rules for home quarantine and coronavirus testing. Now, those who test positive for coronavirus through a lab-based swab test will be taken to a government centre to find out if he/she qualifies for home isolation or not.
Similarly, those who test positive through a rapid antigen test will be assessed on the spot at testing centres. The medical officer will check if the patient's coronavirus checks for co-morbidities.
Likewise, those with the moderate and severe infection will be transferred to the hospital. Those found asymptomatic but have other health issues will stay at COVID care centres or hospitals.

For those asymptomatic or mild cases, a separate team will find out if a person's home is fit for quarantine. For home isolation, an apartment should have at least two rooms and separate toilets so that the family members and neighbours are protected from the spread of contagion disease.

However, if their home does not qualify for home-isolation, then mild or asymptomatic cases will be transferred to a care centre. Earlier on Monday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had said that the patients would be allowed home isolation provided with pulse oximeters. The oximeter helps measure oxygen levels in the blood.
