Deep Sidhu's death: Actor's female friend says vehicle ahead was at high speed
Chandigarh/Ludhiana: February 16: In its preliminary inquiry, the Haryana Police have ruled out any conspiracy in Punjab actor-farmer activist Deep Sidhu’s death, who was killed in an accident Tuesday evening. He was the key suspect in Republic Day violence at Red Fort in 2021.
Meanwhile, thousands of people gathered in Ludhiana to pay last respect to Punjabi actor Deep Sidhu, whose body was brought after the postmortem.
The Haryana Police said Reena Rai, the girl who accompanied Punjabi actor Deep Sidhu in the SUV, told them that a truck ahead of them was being driven rashly and the driver applied breaks all of a sudden due to which their vehicle rammed into it.
The police said they had filed a case of rash and negligent driving against the driver. The police said a bottle of liquor was found from inside the car.

Deep Sidhu died in a road accident in Haryana's Sonepat on Tuesday evening after his car rammed into a a truck on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal expressway. The actor was travelling from Delhi to Punjab when the accident was reported near the Pipli toll plaza at Kharkhoda.
Born in April 1984 in Muktsar district of Punjab, Sandeep, alias Deep Sidhu's, career started with modeling. Deep Sidhu studied law. He was the winner of the Kingfisher Model Hunt. He also won the title of 'Mr Personality' in 'Mr India' contest.
In 2015, his first Punjabi film 'Ramta Jogi' was released. However, Deep Sidhu became famous in 2018 with the film 'Jora Das Numbaria', in which his character was of a gangster.

Deep Sidhu came into the limelight during the farmers' movement against the three agricultural laws. He was the key accused in the violence at the Red Fort. Deep Sidhu was also arrested in this case. However, he was later granted bail.
