Delhi Court extends police custody of Lawrence Bishnoi for 5 days

New Delhi, June 5: A Delhi court extended the police custody of Lawrence Bishnoi for a further five days on Sunday, during which the Delhi police will take him to Jodhpur and Ganga Nagar in Rajasthan for investigation of the Arms Act case. Lawrence Bishnoi recently hit headlines in singer Sidhu Moosewala's murder case. The Punjabi singer and rapper was shot dead on May 29 in Jawaharke village in Punjab's Mansa district. The police custody of Lawrence Bishnoi was extended by Duty Magistrate Umesh Kumar of Patiala House Court after the former was produced following his 5 days of remand. Bishnoi was sent into police remand by CMM Patiala House Court on May 31, 2022. Lawrence Bishnoi Delhi police sought five days further remand to arrest the suspects whose names come up during the interrogation of Lawrence Bishnoi. Earlier on May 30, the Special NIA court refused to entertain the plea moved by Lawrence Bishnoi. The gangster, who is being alleged to have links with Sidhu Moosewala's murder has approached the special court suspecting a fake encounter by Punjab Police. The accused's counsel, on the other hand, had denied the confirmation. Lawrence Bishnoi Lawrence Bishnoi is accused in the MCOCA case, which is being heard by the Special Judge of Patiala House Court. He has been lodged in Tihar jail.
