Delhi lockdown extended by a week: Arvind Kejriwal

Amid rising cases of coronavirus and health crisis in the national capital, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday announced that the government has extended a 6-day lockdown in Delhi. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that "We had imposed a 6-day lockdown in Delhi. The lockdown is being extended to next Monday till 5 am." "Coronavirus still continues to wreak havoc in Delhi while public opinion was that lockdown should increase. So, the lockdown was being extended for one week," he said. On Thursday, Delhi recorded a positivity rate of 36.24 percent, the highest since the pandemic started last year. Amid rising cases of coronavirus, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday announced that the government has extended a 6-day lockdown in Delhi. There has been an acute shortage of oxygen in the national capital, thus, the Delhi government started a portal for oxygen management. Delhi is the worst affected state in the country.
