Delhi triple murder: Man kills wife, two daughters in Karawal Nagar, accused at large

PTC News Desk: A gruesome crime was reported in Delhi’s Karawal Nagar on Saturday on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, where a man allegedly murdered his wife and two young daughters before escaping.

The accused, identified as Pradeep, is said to have killed his wife, Jaya Shri, and their daughters, aged five and seven, following an argument. Police have registered a case, launched a manhunt for Pradeep, and sent the victims’ bodies for post-mortem examination.

"A man named Pradeep has murdered his wife and two daughters aged five and seven in Delhi's Karawal Nagar area. The accused is absconding," news agency ANI quoted Delhi Police as saying.

The case has revived memories of another triple murder in South Delhi’s Neb Sarai in December last year, where 20-year-old Arjun allegedly killed his parents and sister after learning his sister had been made the sole heir to the family property.

The victims in that incident — Rajesh Kumar (51), his wife Komal (46), and their daughter Kavita (23) — were found dead at their home in Deoli village. Initially, Arjun claimed he discovered the bodies and alerted police, but investigators suspected otherwise, noting no signs of robbery or forced entry.

During questioning, Arjun gave conflicting statements and was found with fresh injury marks on his hand. He later confessed to the killings, with police stating his relationship with his father and family was strained.
