Delhi's air quality remains in 'very poor' category, likely to improve

Delhi air pollution: The air quality in Delhi continued to remain in the 'very poor' quality, with the overall Air Quality Index (AQI) at 337 on Thursday morning but it is predicted to improve from Friday due to a likely high wind speed. According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR), the concentrations of PM 2.5 and PM 10 stood at 168 in the 'very poor' and 284 in the 'poor' category, respectively. A shallow foggy condition is likely to keep AQI poor for the next two days. The air quality in Noida and Gurugram too remains in the 'very poor' category with AQI at 337 and 330, respectively. After a review meeting on Monday, the Delhi government has extended the ban on the entry of non-essential trucks in the national capital till further orders. -PTC News
