Desperate For a Son, Couple Kills Neighbour’s 4-Year-Old Daughter
A couple in Sahranpur, Uttar Pradesh, was so desperate to have a boy that they kidnapped their neighbour's 4-year-old daughter and brutally killed her.
35-year-old Satish Singh and his 30-year-old wife Namita had four daughters and they wanted to have a boy. Their son died when he was just 18 months old.
Vriksh Pal, an exorcist, who told them that he could give them a son if they sacrificed a girl child, said the superstitious couple. They then kidnapped Ashita their neighbour's 4-year-old daughter.
As a part of a ritual, they chopped off the girl’s arm, leg and ear while she was still alive before killing her with a huge knife.
Four days after Akshita's father filed a report, he found mutilated body parts wrapped in a piece of cloth, which were later identified as his daughter's.
The exorcist had apparently told the culprits to throw the dead girl's body parts near her home so that her parents could find it.
While Satish Singh and Vriksh Pal, the exorcist, have been arrested, police haven't been able to trace the culprits.
