Dhuri, August 5: On Friday, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann addressed a state-level event from Dhuri. In his address, he made big promises in line with development of his own constituency- Dhuri. One cannot expect fruit and shade from a two-month-old sapling, but one day it will bear fruits and provide shade. We are working in the direction of development. Give us some time to prove our mettle” Assuring is pre-poll promise he said that, “On 15 August, 2022 we will dedicate first 75 Mohalla Clinics to the public of Punjab who had voted for a revolutionary change. By august 30, this figure may rise to 100 and steadily, our Mohalla Clinics will reach every nook and corner of Punjab.” Earlier today, Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann laid foundation stone of a Medical College, to come up at Mastuana sahib in Sangrur. “Sangrur Medical College named after Sant Baba Attar Singh State Institute of Medical sciences will be ready till 31 March 2023. Our goal is to build 16 medical colleges in the span of these 5 years, we already have nine and by the end of our tenure, we will have 25, so that each district has medical institute of its own. Youth will be able to complete their MBBS degrees in Punjab itself; lakhs of other will get appointment too.”  Said Mann. Speaking on the recent plastic ban, he said that "we all collectively need to control plastic use to heal our environment and switch to safer options that sustainable." Further, in his speech Bhagwant Mann promised that Old age pension, in association with a private company, will be on doorstep, so that no ailing senior citizen has to wait for hours in a line outside bank. “Just by a stamp on bio-meter you will get your pensions. And Ration too, will be delivered at the comfort of your home”. CM Bhagwant Mann also made an appeal to his MLAs & Ministers to deal with officials patiently, saying that they are not at fault or to be blamed for failure of old system. Putting an end to long delayed project, Dhuri Railway overbridge, Mann said that 15 crore worth ROB will be built in Dhuri. Few small business may have to be relocated for this but we assure that our government would do it efficiently.” Bhagwant Mann in his Dhuri address shared that Centre has sought allocation of 68,000  Punjab teachers for census 2022 but state has refused to comply with the demand.
