Badshah’s Tateeree Row: Haryana Police Remove 857 Links

The Haryana Police have taken strict action against rapper Badshah’s song Tateeree. So far, they have removed more than 800 links from major online platforms, including 154 YouTube videos and 703 Instagram reels.

Police said the content is being removed through proper legal steps, working closely with social media platforms. Notices have been sent to delete all versions of the song, including short clips and re-uploads.

According to officials, the action was taken because the song contains objectionable content, with offensive references to women and minors.

The controversy began after the song’s release on March 1, 2026. Many people, including social activists, criticized it for vulgar lyrics and visuals. Some scenes showed girls in school uniforms dancing in a bus, which caused public outrage.

After complaints, a case was filed in Panchkula under relevant laws. The Haryana State Commission for Women also took notice and called Badshah for questioning. When he did not appear, police started strict action, including steps to restrict his travel. Later, the singer apologized, and the court granted him temporary protection from arrest.

Haryana’s top police officer, Ajay Singhal, said that any content disrespecting women or minors will not be accepted. Police are closely monitoring online platforms and warned that anyone sharing the song may face legal action.
