Renowned actor Mohan found dead on Madurai street; deets inside
PTC Web Desk: Tamil actor Mohan, renowned for his comedic supporting roles in 80s and 90s films, was tragically found dead on a street in Madurai. It has come to light that he was facing severe poverty and struggling to secure work in the industry. Sadly, he had resorted to begging as a means of survival. Mohan also featured in Kamal Haasan's 'Apporva Sagodhargal'.
According to reports, Mohan's wife had passed away a decade ago, and since then, he relied mainly on begging to make a living.
In the 1989 film "Apoorva Sagodharargal," Kamal Haasan played the lead role of Appu, while Mohan portrayed his best friend. Following that, Mohan appeared in a couple of films, including "Adhisaya Manithargal" and Bala's "Naan Kadavul," in which Arya played the lead role.
After facing a lack of opportunities to work in films, Mohan relocated to Thiruparangundram from his hometown a few years ago. Unfortunately, due to financial constraints, he resorted to begging on the main chariot road in the area. Tragically, on July 31, locals discovered him lying dead on the road and immediately reported the incident to the police. Reports indicate that the actor was in such a disheveled condition that he was unrecognisable. The circumstances surrounding his death have raised concerns about his struggle with poverty and destitution.
