PTC Web Desk: Bollywood actor Sunny Deol has chosen the quiet charm of the snow-covered hills of Manali to celebrate the success of his latest patriotic blockbuster, Border 2, stepping away from the usual glitz of city celebrations.

As the film crossed the Rs 200-crore mark within just five days of release, the actor shared a warm and emotional video from Himachal Pradesh, expressing gratitude to audiences for the overwhelming response.

Seated against a breathtaking backdrop of snow-laden mountains, Sunny Deol recreated his legendary on-screen intensity that fans associate with his powerful performances. In the video, he asks his iconic line, “Awaaz kahaan tak gayi?”, before smiling and replying, “Awaaz dilon tak gayi hai.”

The moment struck a deep emotional chord with fans, reinforcing the strong connection the film has built with audiences nationwide.

Breaking away from the industry norm of celebrating box-office milestones at upscale Mumbai venues, Sunny Deol opted for peace and solitude in Manali. The actor has rented a private cottage near the hill town and is currently staying there.

Locals often spot him relaxing on a traditional charpai placed in an apple orchard, soaking in the winter sun while surrounded by fresh snowfall. His temporary residence is Dashal village, located around 17 km from Manali.

Residents of the area and visiting fans welcomed the actor with enthusiasm. During interactions, Sunny Deol humbly attributed the film’s success entirely to the audience, thanking them for their continued love and support over the years. His simplicity, humility and heartfelt gratitude have further strengthened his bond with admirers.

Manali holds deep emotional value for Sunny Deol. For nearly two decades, the actor has shared a close association with the region, frequently spending extended periods there.

The hill station also carries memories of his father, veteran actor Dharmendra, who spent meaningful time with Sunny in Manali during the later phase of his life. For Sunny, the region is not just a retreat but a second home that offers peace away from the chaos of city life.

Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 is inspired by the 1971 Indo-Pak war and features a powerful ensemble cast, including Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty, alongside Sunny Deol.

The film’s hard-hitting dialogues, emotional depth and patriotic spirit have resonated strongly with viewers, driving its record-breaking box-office run.
