A tribute to Sushant Singh Rajput | Sushant Singh Rajput is no longer with us, but his memory is fresh in the hearts of his family, friends and millions of fans. 

On this solemn day, we reflect on the life and legacy of Sushant Singh Rajput, a multifaceted actor whose untimely departure left an indelible mark on Indian cinema and the hearts of his fans worldwide.


Sushant Singh Rajput began his journey in Bollywood with dreams as vast as the cosmos he admired. His rise from television to the silver screen was meteoric, captivating audiences with his charm, intellect, and undeniable talent. Known for his dedication to his craft and his ability to bring depth to every character he portrayed, Sushant quickly became a favorite among cinephiles.

Sushant made his transition to the big screen with the film "Kai Po Che!" in 2013, which garnered critical acclaim. He went on to star in several successful movies, including "Shuddh Desi Romance," "PK," "M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story," "Kedarnath," and "Chhichhore."

A look at remarkable movies of SSR 

"Kai Po Che!" (2013): Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, this film marked Sushant's debut as a lead actor. It showcased his ability to portray complex characters and earned him critical acclaim for his performance.

'Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!' (2015) : Sushant showcased his versatility by stepping into the shoes of the iconic detective Byomkesh Bakshy. His portrayal brought a fresh perspective to the character, blending intellect with emotional depth.

"MS Dhoni: The Untold Story" (2016): In this biographical sports film, Sushant played the role of Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni. His portrayal of the celebrated cricketer was widely appreciated, and the film became a box office success.

'Kedarnath' (2018): The film was based on the 2013 Uttarakhand floods that devastated the region, 'Kedarnath.' It also shed light on inter-faith love and marriage between a wealthy Hindu Brahmin woman (Sara) and a Muslim man (Sushant) working in the same vicinity.

"Chhichhore" (2019): This comedy-drama film addressed the pressures faced by students and the importance of resilience. Sushant's portrayal of Anirudh, a middle-aged father reflecting on his college life, was praised for its emotional depth and authenticity.

Sushant, who was fondly known for portraying diverse roles with perfection, passed away in 2020 at his Bandra residence on June 14, 2020.
