Farmers' agitation will continue as before, says BKU leader Gurnam Singh Charuni

Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Gurnam Singh Charuni on Monday said it had been decided that their agitation would continue as before. He said a meeting of the Samyukta Kisan Morcha would be held on December 7, where decision would be taken over their next programmes to take forward the agitation. BKU leader Gurnam Singh Charuni said neither the Centre nor any state government had called the five-member committee formed on the MSP issue. The nine-member committee was called too so that transparent talks are held," said Gurnam Singh Charuni. Notably, the Samyukta Kisan Morcha has formed a five-member panel for dialogue with the government on their pending demands, including MSP, compensation to kin of farmers who died during the agitation and withdrawal of cases against the protesters.
