Farmers Protest: Protesting farmers extend toll-free movement in Haryana indefinitely

Amid farmers protest against farm laws 2020, the farmers' organisations have decided to open all toll plazas in Haryana for an indefinite period to ensure free movement for all commuters. The decision was taken to further escalate the farmers' protest against the farm laws 2020. Earlier, the farmers had said that the toll plazas in Haryana will remain open for 3 days from December 25, 26, and 27. However, farmer leaders on Saturday said that they will not allow the toll companies to charge from travellers until the Central government accepts their demands. Meanwhile, the Bhartiya Kisan Union state president Gurnam Singh Charuni said that it was decided in a meeting with several farmers and representatives of farmer unions that the toll plazas will not be allowed to charge from commuters indefinitely. The farmers took over several plazas connecting to the national capital.
