Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh), March 19: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday stated that Covid-19 is under control for the first time in two years on the occasion of Holi. Yogi Adityanath on Saturday participated in 'Bhagwan Narsingh Holikotsav Shobha Yatra' in Gorakhpur, organised by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). While speaking at the event, Adityanath also referred to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) victory in the recently concluded state Assembly elections. Covid 'under control' on Holi "You are connected to the enthusiasm of Holi for the past 10 days. For the first time in 2 years, Corona is under control on Holi and we have the opportunity to participate in the event, in person. Secondly, Uttar Pradesh once again chose a government for nationalism and good governance," he added. On March 17, Adityanath joined the 'Holika Dahan' celebration in Gorakhpur. On the same day, he went to Gorakhanath Temple. I want to thank you for choosing a government of law and order. This election showed that truth will always triumph," he said. Yogi Adityanath is likely to take oath as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh on March 25. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Bharatiya Janata Party national president JP Nadda are among the list of invitees scheduled to attend the oath-taking ceremony. Covid 'under control' on Holi The BJP retained power in Uttar Pradesh by winning 255 out of 403 constituencies, securing a 41.29 per cent vote share. Adityanath will be the first Chief Minister in the last 37 years to return to power after completing a full term in the state.
