Ghaziabad: IAS Soumya Pandey resumes office; carries her 22-day-old baby to work
A government official from Uttar Pradesh, IAS Soumya Pandey who is posted as SDM of Modinagar, recently gave birth to a baby girl.
She has earned praised for her dedication as she returned to the office after only 22 days and took charge. She is also carrying her baby along with her to the office.

The IAS officer was seen discharging her duties while looking after her three-week-old baby girl in the office.
A viral video shows Pandey signing some papers at her desk whole holding her infant in her arms. She checks and signs some of the papers with a smile on her face, as her baby rests quietly in her arms.
Soumya Pandey, originally from Prayagraj, is a 2017 batch IAS officer. Presently, Modinagar is posted as SDM in Ghaziabad.

IAS Soumya Pandey said that she has also supervised several hospitals during the pandemic. Keeping Covid-19 in mind, she takes special care of her as well as the baby girl. She also sanitizes all the files repeatedly.
She added that she received great support from the Ghaziabad district administration after her pregnancy and all the subordinate employees have also supported her. The Ghaziabad district administration has supported her like a family.
