ICC Women T20 World Cup 2020 Semifinal, India vs England: Undefeated Indian women are all set to take on England in the first semi-final of the ICC Women T20 World Cup at Sydney cricket ground on Thursday. India hasn't lost a single match in its group matches and will be looking forward to keeping the same momentum. On the other hand, England lost just a single match against South Africa but hasn't been defeated thereafter.

Shafali Verma, the rising star

The 16-year-old Shafali Verma has reached a milestone as she is ranked the number 1 batter in the Women ICC T20 rankings, following her phenomenal batting throughout the ongoing T20 World Cup in Australia. Shafali Verma has scored 29, 39, 49 and 47 runs in the four matches played against India's Group A opponents. Also, Shafali was named Player of the match against Bangladesh and New Zealand.

Indian Women to watch

Shafali Verma is surely a dangerous batter for the opponent as she opens the innings with her devastating performance. Besides Shafali, Deepti Sharma and Smriti Man can turn the gear at any moment. Though Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur has been unable to perform well so far she is known to have played amazing cricket in the crucial matches. Poonam Yadav and Radha Yadav are already doing their job well and creating pressure on the opposition with the ball.

England Women to watch

Yes, India has won all the group matches, but England can be a hurdle on its way to the ICC T20 World Cup trophy. England skipper Heather Knight can be very dangerous as she has scored a century in the second match against Thailand besides 62 runs against Pakistan. Likewise, Natalie Sciver hammered 50 runs against South Africa, 59 runs against Thailand, 36 and 57 runs against Pakistan and West Indies, respectively. Just like India has a pair of Yadav (Poonam Yadav and Radha Yadav), England has lethal attack combine of Anya Shrubsole and Katherine Brunt.
