In a historic move, Australia returns 29 antiquities to India
Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's virtual summit with his Australian counterpart Scott Morrison, Australia has handed over 29 antiquities to India.
The historic move is seen as a boost to New Delhi's bid to get back the country's heritage from around the world.

As many as 29 antiquities ranging in six broad categories as per themes include - Shiva and his disciples, Worshipping Shakti, Lord Vishnu and his forms, Jain traditions, portraits and decorative objects.
These antiquities come from different time periods, with earlier ones dating to the 9-10 century CE. These are primarily sculptures and paintings executed in a variety of materials - sandstone, marble, bronze, brass, paper.
