In Patiala jail, Navjot Sidhu complains of knee pain; advised not to sleep on floor
Mohali, July 16: Cricketer-turned-politician and Congress leader Navjot Sidhu, who is lodged in Patiala Central Jail, is suffering from severe pain in his knee joints.
It is learnt that an orthopaedic surgeon examined Congress leader Navjot Sidhu inside the Patiala Central jail and advised him to reduce weight.

Sources said Navjot Sidhu had to sleep on the ground. "Since he weights around 123 kg and has height of over 6 feet, he finds it difficult to get up from the floor," they added.
Sidhu's toilet seat is also said to be low for his height and weight. After the examination, the doctor who examined him has suggested Sidhu to reduce his weight, besides some knee strengthening exercises.

Sidhu has also been advised to sleep on the bed and not on the floor. Following the doctor's advice, the jail administration has provided a hard board bed to Navjot Sidhu.

Punjabi singer Daler Mehndi has been allotted the same barrack in the Patiala Central Jail, where Navjot Singh Sidhu is lodged. No special diet and home-cooked food has been demanded by Daler Mehndi. On the other hand, Sidhu is being provided special food as recommended by dieticians.
