India vs Bangladesh 3rd T20: Be it South Africa, or Bangladesh, India is on the winning streak. The hosts defeated Bangladesh in three-match T20 series on Sunday. In absence of key players, the visitors surprised India with a victory in the first T20 in Delhi. However, the Bangla Tiger couldn’t continue its form in Rajkot and were defeated by 8 wickets. The final T20 witnessed a lot of turns in the match.
Bangladesh won the toss and opted to field first in a decider match at Nagpur, on Sunday. While batting first, India lost two early wickets in the form of openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan. Rohit Sharma was bowled out by Shaiful, while Shikhar Dhawan went back to pavilion as Bangladesh skipper Mahmudullah caught a fine catch at mid-on. Bangladesh’s dressing room was happy.
Despite early wickets, KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer were hitting the ball over the fence. KL Rahul scored valuable 52 off 35 balls, while Iyer smashed a phenomenol half-century. He scored 62 off 33 balls, including five sixes and three boundaries. India scored huge score of 174-5. To this, Deepak Chahar took early wickets in the form of Liton Das and Soumya Sarkar. Chahar took 6-wicket haul, 6/7, best figures in T20Is. Along with Das and Sarkar, Deepak dismissed Mohammad Mithun, Aminul Islam, Shafiul Islam and Shafiul Islam.
Bangladesh opener Mohammad Naim, who was looking a a hurdle in the way of India, was yorked out by Shivam Dube. Naim scored 88 runs off just 48 balls, highest individual scores for Bangladesh against India in the T20 international. Dube also dismissed a big fish Mushfiqur Rahim. Meanwhile, Deepak Chahar was named the Man of the Match as well as Player of the series.
