Indian Railways issues statement on resumption of passenger trains
Indian Railways finally opened up on speculations that the national transporter will soon resume all passenger trains operations. Such trains have been suspended ever since the coronavirus outbreak hit the nation.
The Indian Railways stated that no such decision has been taken in this regard.

It stated that all the stakeholders will be informed as and when the authorities take such a decision.
"No date fixed for resumption of all passenger trains operations," Indian Railways said, adding that the Railways have been increasing the number of train services in a graded manner.

Already more than 65 percent of trains are running, the national transporter said, adding that more than 250 plus were added in January while more will be added gradually.
There were reports about the resumption of full passenger train services and likewise, clarifications are constantly being given to the media about it for the last few days.
The services of Indian Railways were affected due to the coronavirus outbreak that led to the nationwide lockdown.
It is pertinent to mention that India is witnessing decline in number of coronavirus cases amid the ongoing vaccination drive.
