India's exports to China increased by 21 percent to USD 22.9 billion in the year 2021 according to data released by the Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence and Statistics. Meanwhile, the imports have increased by 49% to USD 87.5 billion. Bilateral trade between the two nations expanded to USD 110.4 billion in 2021 from USD 77.7 billion in 2020, reaching 42.2 percent year-on-year growth. India's exports to China increased by 33.9 percent in 2021 compared to 2019. Despite the Covid-19 outbreak, India's exports to China have steadily increased over the last three years.
