AP Reorganisation Act at various stages of implementation, says Centre

Centre on Wednesday stated that a large number of provisions of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014 have been enacted and the remaining are at various stages of implementation. "A large number of provisions of Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act have been implemented and remaining provisions are at various stages of implementation," Minister of State for Home affairs Nityanand Rai informed in Rajya Sabha. "There are certain issues which require mutual agreement of the Government of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Continuous efforts are made to build consensus between the two States to resolve bilateral issues amicably," he added. From today onwards, the Rajya Sabha will meet from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., while the Lok Sabha will meet from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. The President's address began the 2022 Budget Session of the Parliament on January 31. The first half of the budget session continues from January 31 to February 11, while the second half is from March 14 to April 8.
