Instagram to bring back chronological feed
Most hyped social media platform- Instagram is rolling out a new change by bringing back the chronological feature rather than ranked according to the platform's algorithms.
The app is rolling out this new change for all the users globally. The new version of the app has two optional feeds that you can access by pressing on the Instagram logo at the top of the screen. These feeds will allow you to further customise your feed according to your preferences.

The first is 'Following,' which is a chronological feed of every post from every account you follow, while the second is 'Favorites.'
Users can add up to 50 accounts as favourites and when you select this feed, you'll only view their posts, which are likewise organised chronologically.
In addition, posts from accounts you've added to your 'Favorites' will appear higher in your home feed.
This new change was tested by Instagram head Adam Mosseri during a Senate hearing last year about the impact the platform has on teens.
The upcoming chronological feed on Instagram was the most awaited one around the world, especially for Instagram influencers.
Meanwhile, the chronological order was first rolled out in 2016 to serve content that interests the viewer.

Earlier this month, Instagram introduced a new educational hub for parents and a tool that allows them to see how much time their kids spend on Instagram and set time limits.
