Coronavirus Outbreak: India extends international travel ban till July 15

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), in a notification issued on Friday, extended the international travel ban till July 15 in the wake of coronavirus pandemic. The competent authority has decided that the scheduled international commercial passenger services to and from India shall remain suspended till July 15. It has been stated in an order that this restriction shall not apply to international all-cargo operations and flights specifically approved by DGCA. However, the International Scheduled flights may be allowed on selected routes by the competent authorities on case to case basis. Last month, the Domestic flights were restarted in India but the international flights remained suspended barring cargo and special repatriation flights under the Vande Bharat Mission to bring stranded Indians back home. GRADUAL RESUMPTION OF SELECT PASSENGER SERVICES BY INDIAN RAILWAYS Recently, the Railway Board cancelled regular time-tabled passenger services including Mail/Express, passenger and suburban services up to 12.8.20. However, special trains would continue to operate. Also Read | CBSE and ICSE board exams result to be declared on this date Likewise, all the tickets booked for the regular timetabled trains for the journey from 1.7.20 to 12.8.20 will be cancelled and a full refund will be generated, the Railway Board said. Furthermore, the special Rajdhani and special mail/express train services that started from 12.5.2020 and 1.6.2020 respectively shall continue to operate. -PTC News
