Iran carries out surgical strike in Pakistan, frees two soldiers: Report

In a major development, Iran, reportedly, become the third nation to carry out a successful surgical strike operation inside Pakistan targetting terror groups and freeing two of its soldiers who were taken hostage around three years ago. As per reports, the surgical strike in Pak was carried out during night on February. There was no prior knowledge to the Pakistan Military units deployed in the region. During the surgical strike in Pakistan by Iran, several army officials were allegedly killed who were safeguarding the terror groups. Reportedly, Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) did an intelligence-based Special Ops deep in Pakistan and freed two of its own soldiers. The operation was conducted inside the Pakistan controlled territory. IRGC hailed the operation and called it “successful” and stated, on February 3, that the two abducted border guards were even rescued.
