Istri wing of SAD appoints five new presidents in districts : Istri Wing of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) appointed five new district units presidents. Bibi Jagir Kaur, president of Istri Wing of SAD made an announcement in this regard on Saturday. She had also announced the segregation of Chandigarh in two zones and two separate new presidents for each zone.
The new presidents included Jatinder Kaur Thukral of Hoshiarpur (Urban), Prof. Kamaljit Kaur Batala of Gurdaspur (Urban), Simerjit Kaur of Jalandhar (Rural), Baljinder Kaur of Kapurthala (Urban), Bhupinder Kaur Samra of Faridkot (Urban), Nirmal Kaur Sekhon of Chandigarh-I and Gurdeep Kaur of Chandigarh-II.
It is to be mentioned that the president of the Istri wing of the Akali Dal Badal had constituted a new core committee last December to make structural changes in the wing.She told that the move was taken ahead to make the wing more structured and encourage party workers to work with much more dedication. All these changes have been made under the guidance of party president Sukhbir Badal, she said.
