Jammu and Kashmir: Stone pelters Killed Truck Driver, Accused Arrested
Jammu and Kashmir: A Kashmiri truck driver has been killed by the stone pelters in South Kashmir's Anantnag district, on Sunday. As per reports, the stone pelters pelted stones on the Truck number JK03 F 2540 taking it as an SF vehicle. The Jammu and Kashmir police reported that "A truck driver Noor Mohammed resident of Zradipora Urnhall Bhijbhera was hit by a stone thrown from a lane at Bhijbhera this evening". https://twitter.com/JmuKmrPolice/status/1165694265294327808?s=20 As per reports, Noor Mohammed was returning home when the protestors started throwing stones at him. Also, Jammu and Kashmir police said in a tweet, "The stone pierced the pane and injured driver in the head. He was rushed to nearby Bhijbhera hospital where he was referred to SKIMS Soura. He, however, succumbed to his injuries and was declared brought dead. Also, the Jammu and Kashmir Police reported that "a few days back a girl was seriously injured in a stone-pelting incident in downtown Srinagar. A case has been registered in that case as well". Likewise, the Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satyapal Malik said that these restrictions were necessary to avoid any loss of life. -PTC News
