Young Bhavanites celebrate Raksha Bandhan with ITBP soldiers
PTC Web Desk: The primary wing of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 33, Chandigarh, resonated with patriotism, joy, and cultural pride as students celebrated Raksha Bandhan with Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) soldiers during a special assembly. The event beautifully blended traditional values with a deep respect for the nation’s protectors.
Organised by the spirited students of Class II, the celebration featured a series of performances that showcased the essence of the festival. The programme included a heartfelt poem, an engaging Hindi speech on the festival’s significance, and a thought-provoking play titled “Raksha ka Bandhan – Bhai ke liye aur Desh ke Veeron ke liye”. The play sensitively portrayed the emotional bond between siblings while paying tribute to the courage and dedication of Indian soldiers.

Adding to the emotional ambiance were a soulful choir performance and a graceful dance presentation on “O Behen Teri Muskan”, which evoked a sense of unity and gratitude among the audience.
The highlight of the event was the warm interaction between the young students and the visiting ITBP soldiers. Members of the Early Act Club tied Rakhis on the soldiers’ wrists, expressing their love, gratitude, and unwavering respect. Handmade rakhis and letters were also prepared for soldiers posted at the borders, symbolising a heartfelt gesture of appreciation and solidarity.

The event concluded with an interactive session, during which ITBP personnel answered questions posed by curious students and shared real-life stories that inspired and moved the audience.
