KV Subramanian steps down as govt's Chief Economic Adviser

Chief Economic Advisor to the Government of India Krishnamurthy Venkata Subramanian on Friday announced that he is stepping down from his post, following the completion of his three-year tenure Also read | Paddy area in Punjab, Haryana, UP comes down by 7.72% "I've decided to return back to academia following the completion of my three-year fulfilling tenure as CEA, GoI," he said in a statement. He took over from Arvind Subramanian who had left due to personal reasons in June 2018.
