Las Vegas mass shooting: Shooter transferred $100K, set up cameras at hotel room
The Las Vegas gunman, Stephen Paddock who caused the deadliest mass shooting in the history of the U.S, had transferred $100,000 overseas days prior to the attack and had also set up cameras inside the peephole of his high-rise hotel room to spot anyone coming for him.
He has also set a camera on a service cart outside his room to keep an eye on the activities outside the hotel room, as per reports.
Investigators are taking a harder look at the shooter's girlfriend and trying to determine what she might be aware of about the attack that took place at the music festival, with the sheriff naming her a "person of interest"
The girlfriend, Marilou Danley, 62, returned to the United States from the Philippines on Tuesday night and was met at Los Angeles International Airport by FBI agents, according to a law enforcement official.
They have been speaking with Danley, who was out the country at the time of the shooting, and "we anticipate some information from her shortly," Sheriff Joseph Lombardo said hours before she arrived.
Lombardo said he is "absolutely" confident authorities will find out what led to the attack by Paddock. Paddock was a 64-year-old high-stakes gambler and retired accountant who killed himself before police stormed his 32nd-floor room.
