Nirbhaya Rape Case: After the late-night drama in Delhi High Court and the Supreme Court, all the four death row convicts – Mukesh Singh (32), Pawan Gupta (25), Vinay Sharma (26) and Akshay Kumar Singh (31) – have been hanged at Tihar jail, on Friday. Delhi High Court dismissed the plea of the convicts seeking a stay on the execution. It said that there has been no foundation mentioned in the petition, it has been filed without any index, list of dates, memo of parties, annexures or any affidavits.

No last wish

According to the sources, the four convicts – Mukesh, Pawan, Vinay, and Akshay – did not express any last wish. As part of the jail manual, the death row convicts were asked about their last wish. Meanwhile, all of them broke down just before the execution. Nirbhaya mother said, I hugged the daughter picture and said that you got justice today

Arvind Kejriwal on execution

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday stated that it took 7 years for justice to be delivered. "Today, we have to take a pledge that a similar incident does not happen again. We've seen how the convicts manipulated the law until recently. There are a lot of loopholes in our system, we need to improve the system," he added. What Nirbhaya's family said?

Badrinath Singh, Nirbhaya's father demonstrated the victory sign. He said that "Today is our victory and it happened because of media, society and the Delhi police.
