Punjab Police Head Constable shot dead in firing at Moga village; accused arrested
In a major incident, a Police head constable was shot dead and two others were injured in a shooting incident at village Khosa Pando in Moga. According to the information, the police visited the village to arrest a man, however, the latter opened fire at police officials.
The Head Constable who died on the spot has been identified as Jagmohan Singh, while CIA Inspector Tarlochan Singh and another head constable Ridham Singh were injured in an incident. The accused has been identified as Gurinder Singh who opened fire on police party.
The police had come to arrest Gurinder Singh after it received a complaint against him. Gurinder was involved in a dispute in neighbour after which they called the police. Meanwhile, Gurinder opposed the efforts to arrest him and opened fire at police using his father's gun. Later, the accused was arrested.

The police is currently looking into the matter. Those injured have been taken to a hospital for the treatment. One of those is seriously injured and hence he is referred to Faridkot.
