Relaxation, amid curfew order, announced by Mohali Administration withdrawn

Amid curfew orders by the Punjab government, the relaxation announced by the Mohali administration to the locals has been withdrawn. As per the relaxation orders, one of the family member was allowed to go out to purchase medicine, food, milk, etc, from 4 pm to 6 pm on Tuesday. Likewise, the locals were given relief from 6 am to 9 am for the same, from Wednesday onwards. However, the previous orders issued with regard to the public timings of relaxation of curfew stand withdrawn till further orders. As per report, the administration is working on a system of door to door delivery and supply in neighbourhoods. Therefore, all are required to stay at home and not come out of their homes, in public interest.

Curfew in Punjab

Punjab Government on Monday ordered a curfew in the state in the wake of coronavirus spread. He had reviewed the situation with Chief Secretary and DGP Punjab Police and announced full curfew with no relaxations. Afterwards, the DCs were asked to issue orders accordingly. He further took to Twitter and wrote: "Entire world is under threat of COVID 19 and we in Punjab are no different. Difficult times call for difficult decisions. Hence for the good of everyone, curfew has been imposed. We have already taken necessary steps to help elderly and underprivileged. All must adhere and cooperate." "Bring back devotees from Punjab"

Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Tuesday requested Union Minister Hardeep Puri to arrange for bringing back devotees from Punjab who are stranded due to cancellation of trains from Nanded to Amritsar by air. He also requested Maharshtra CM Uddhav Thackeray to ask District Administration of NanAmid curfew orders by the Punjab government, the Mohali administration has announced to provide relaxation to the locals. ded to coordinate things to minimize inconvenience for the devotees. -PTC News
