Mohali building collapse: Punjab CM orders DC Mohali to send a detailed report
Mohali building collapse: A three-storey building collapsed near Kharar Landran road in Mohali on Saturday. Two people have been rescued while 6-7 people are feared trapped under the debris. No casualties have been reported so far. The rescue operation is still underway where National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team has been deployed.

Himanshu Jain, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Mohali said in a statement that "Two persons have been rescued. 6-7 persons still feared trapped under the debris. A JCB machine was trappped under the debris while some of the labourers were rescued.

The NDRF team and other support staff are carrying out search and rescue operation. According to the information, the building collapsed while a basement was being dug up near the gate of JTPL city. As per report, the Ambika builders were operating offices in the building.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh took to twitter and wrote: "Anguished to learn of the collapse of a three-storeyed building in Kharar today with 2 people trapped. @NDRF, Fire Brigade & Mohali Admin are on the spot for immediate rescue and relief. Have asked DC Mohali @GirishDayalan to send a detailed report on what caused this collapse."
