Monsoon expected to return full throttle for the weekend in Chandigarh
The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Chandigarh, has predicted a two-day lull, before the monsoon picks up again on the weekend, it said here on Wednesday. “Monsoon is expected to move southwards from the city temporarily, cutting off moisture here and slowing down rains to some extent,” Shivinder Singh, a scientist at IMD, Chandigarh, said. Also Read: Monsoon to hit major parts of Punjab in the next 2 hrs ”But with high humidity in the air in these days, light to moderate rain will remain a possibility during this spell,” he added. Monsoon is expected to return full throttle by Friday, with heavy spells of rain expected in the tricity.
