Morni Gang Rape Case: Haryana Govt submits status report to the High Court

Morni Gang rape Case: Haryana Govt submits status report to the High Court Additional Advocate General Deepak Sabharwal on Monday morning submitted a status report to the Punjab and Haryana High Court in the Morni gang rape case.  The High Court has sort a status report from the Haryana Government after eight weeks, officials confirmed. 22-year-old married woman was raped by around forty men in Morni near Panchkula. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Haryana Police had arrested the lady's husband over his involvement in a sex racket. Police sources claim that the per phone records and call details the husband of the lady who was gang-raped and the main accused Sunil Kumar alias Sunny were in touch with each other from their mobile phones between July 15 and 18 (when the gang rape took place) as there are around ten phone conversations between the two. Sources further claim that the lady's husband was arrested in this connection as he is also allegedly part of a sex racket, which was being run by main accused Sunny and his manger Avtar. The 22-year-old woman was allegedly raped at a guest house in Kaimbwala village in Morni for three days by around forty men between July 15 and 18. The SIT formed by the Panchkula Police has already arrested eight people including some clients in this case. -PTC News
